Neahkahnie Treasure Charm - Reverse side
Approximately 1" x 1", 14 karat yellow gold, $(please call for current price). See last picture for front side

Every year, Sharon designs a charm that represents some aspect of the local area. Five miles south of Cannon Beach, Neahkahnie Mountain rises as the tallest mountain in the world that rises directly out of the ocean. When the first white settlers arrived, they found 3 ancient large rocks incised with European letters and enigmatic symbols (these can be found in the museum at Tillamook). Legend has it that the Native Americans indicated that white people had come in their great granfathers' day leaving a treasure. The mountain is pocked marked with holes from treasure hunters. Some postulate that Sir Frances Drake made it this far north with Spanish gold from South America. This charm is a copy of a gold coin that would have been minted at that time in the Spanish Colonies.

It is double sided, and can either be worn as a charm on a charm bracelet, or on a neck chain. Please let us know which way you want to wear it, as it normally comes with a small, unsoldered link ready to attatch to a charm bracelet.
